OGURA HAS A CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH POINT IN THAILAND

In Moto3, Ivan Ortolá was unable to capitalize on his second consecutive pole position, after his previous one in Japan. A contact during a crucial part of the race left the Spaniard finishing the weekend with zero points. Great news for the other side of the MT Helmets box, as Ryusei Yamanaka's sixth-place finish confirmed the excellent trend of the Japanese rider, marking yet another consistent result, highlighting his evident performance improvements.

In Moto2, Ai Ogura secured fourth place, a result that wasn’t enough to mathematically seal
the World Championship. The match point is postponed to next week in Thailand. The
Japanese rider only needs to avoid losing more than sixteen points to his title chasers to
celebrate the world title at Buriram.

“It was a tough race. I started from P16 and had to push hard to make up positions. A top 10 finish is not bad, and in Thailand, we’ll take another step forward."

“I’m very happy for the team because everything went perfectly and we were fast. We had a good rhythm and, although I lost the leading group at the start, I managed to catch up. This result gives me more confidence and I can’t wait to get to Thailand."

"We knew we were very strong, but there are a lot of slipstreams on this track. It was an incident. Now we’re focused on Thailand."

“The race was a lot of fun. When it started, I lost many positions, but then I found a good rhythm and caught up with the leading group. I was battling for the podium, but I went wide in one of the last corners and several riders passed me."
