REMARKABLE SATURDAY WITH ALEIX ESPARGARO SECURING A RECORD-BREAKING POLE POSITION, SETTING THE FASTEST LAP EVER AT THE SILVERSTONE CIRCUIT.
In MotoGP, Aprilia had a remarkable Saturday with Aleix Espargaro securing a record-breaking Pole Position, setting the fastest lap ever at the Silverstone circuit. However, the Sunday race presented a different scenario: rear tire degradation affected grip, causing Espargaro to lose several positions and finish the race in sixth place.
Despite this, it was a historic day for Aleix, who, at Silverstone, reached his 329th Grand Prix, placing him third on the all-time list, behind only Valentino Rossi (432 starts) and Andrea Dovizioso (346 starts).
Maverick Viñales faced similar issues, starting from eighth place on the grid and suffering from rear tire degradation after seven laps, ultimately finishing in thirteenth place.

"It was a race that reminded me a lot of Barcelona. I tried to give my best and think I rode at a very high level, but rear tire degradation penalized me. I tried everything to limit the damage, but it wasn’t enough."
#12 MAVERICK VIÑALES
P13
"In the last four races, we’ve encountered very high rear tire degradation and here, by the seventh lap, I had no grip left. The only thing I could do was try to finish the race. We need to work on improving the second half of the race."
