THE RACING WEEKEND IN MALAYSIA PROVED PARTICULARLY CHALLENGING FOR THE APRILIA TEAM IN MOTOGP.
The racing weekend in Malaysia proved particularly challenging for the Aprilia team in MotoGP. Maverick Vinales crossed the finish line in seventh place, while Aleix Espargaro finished thirteenth. Starting from the back of the grid, Espargaro's chances of making up positions were limited from the early stages of the race, making it difficult for him to recover significant ground.
#41 ALEIX ESPARGARÒ
P13 (P12 SPRINT)
“The race was tough; in fact, our weekend had already complicated during qualifying, where we couldn't achieve a better starting position. Starting that far back makes it hard to recover. The heat negatively affected the bike's performance, and that's definitely an area we need to improve in the future.”
#12 MAVERICK VIÑALES
P7 (P14 SPRINT)
P7: “We made a step forward in terms of pace. After the sprint, we worked to try to understand where we had gone wrong. We knew the problem was the braking, and we adjusted the setup a bit, which worked well because I was able to fight in the race."
